How long will it take to make the cast impression?
The actual cast impression only takes about 15 minutes. The whole appointment (including getting to know each other / learning about your wishes / adivse from my side) will take between one to one and a half hour.
Can I bring someone along?
Of course you can bring your husband, a friend or family member with you to the appointment. Also children are sincerely welcome, there are plenty of toys here to keep them occupied.
Where will the impression be done?
The plaster cast imprint can be done at the descrete Kunst am Babybauch workshop in Finstersee or we come to your home (additional travel costs will occur).
What can I do with the plaster cast after the impression?
If you like, you can leave the cast impression with us and we will transform it – according to your own wishes – into a personal piece of art, which can be a pretty ornament and souvenir for the parents’ or child’s bedroom.
How do I pay for it?
At the appointment, you will pay the cost for the impression. The expenses that follow for further work and decoration on your cast will be paid upon collection of the cast or if the cast is sent to you in the post, will have to be paid in advance.
See price list.
When is the best time to make the cast imprint?
Approx. four to six weeks before the due date.
Is the plaster material dangerous for my skin or the baby?
Not at all. The plaster material is also used for medicinal purposes and dermatologically and otherwise totally harmless.
Even if you wear piercings, it’s no problem.
What is important to know if I make the cast impression myself?
Your skin has to be well covered in Vaseline before you apply the plaster material. To guarantee a nice and natural shape of the belly and breast impression, the impression should be done whilst standing upright or sitting in a side-ways position.
